I have a friend selling 2 of these. They are about a year old and haven't seen use in about 6 months. He is asking 500 for the pair in a custom box. What y'all think???? I wanna go for it but am not sure as to what amps to get. I was looking at a Phoenix Gold amp t'other day and was impressed with the price for its power out put. It put out 1000 watts and it cost 700, if my memory serves correctly. I haven't realy looked at car audio for a year or so since my last system was stolen emoji So any help is appreciated emoji

I have the 15" aluminum Eclipse sub and absolutly love it. I have given it over 1500 watts and it wont even get warm at all. Feed em plenty of power, and you will be fine. Thats a pretty good price for the subs with the box too.

Well i guess that used to be the normal price for a good amp. But since the introduction of powerful, Class D amplifiers, the price has come down some. Class D amps are cheaper to build, and put out much more power than a typical Clas AB amplifier. My Directed 1100D's retail for around 700 bucks, but they put out a good clean 1100 watts at 1 ohm. But since i'm a Directed Dealer, i of course didn't pay that much for it emoji

Class AB can still put out more power than class D just feed them the current. Class D is a a good conservative rout to take though. I find class T to be the best they have the SQ of ab with the low current demands of class D, the best of both worlds.
