Top of the line JLs. They sound excellent but you have to feed them a lot of clean power to get them going. Oh yeah... they're pricey!

we hooked up 4 jl w7's in a 2002 ford explorer sport last week, ran them off of 4 mtx 81000D's and hit EXTREMELY @#$%ing hard, when we had just one hooked up it moved the hair on my head, was awesome, dont plan on buying one of these unless you have at least a 1000 watt RMS amplifier or else it'll sound like crap

ah, i think thier crap, consider, they cost near 700 bucks, fuk that man, peeople say you get what you pay for, well in some respects yes, in some others no, there are really good brands that can beat JL, such as eclipse and also one of my fav. companys of all time Fusion, their top of the line is a VERY nice sub i have the powerplant and its really fukin loud and its 150 bucks or so, now the higher one is 2 times that + more, that thing must be sick, shop around and listen to subs before you buy...

There's a guy 'round here that has a navigator w/10 jlw3 12's in it (you know the kind emoji ). He took 'em out and put in 4 w7 15's. He took out two of them b/c they hit so fuckin hard. But like everyone else has said so will lots of other speakers that cost less. Right now I'm saving up to get a digital designs 15 and four memphis 1000d amps. I'll put it in my suburban. A little too much for the eclipse don't you think?

they don't make w7's in 15's.... they only have them in 10's 12's and 13's. I'm getting 2 10in w7 and two 500/1's to power them. I went and listen too them and they are unbelivable. Plus i'm getting them at cost so that is the main reason i'm staying with jl's.
As stated before you get what you pay for. And jl's are one of the best if not the best. I'v had 2 different jl set-up in past cars and will stay with jl's till i have a problem with them.
Once, i get them and build the box set up i'll take pics....

Anyway....I'm new to posting I always ju8st sign on and get information but the W7 is something I know about. I am putting 2 12" W7's in my7 2gt with other 2500 watts getting powered to each of them. I have pix of the beofore and after if anyone wants to see them. I have beefed up my alternator to 220 amps, have two seperate stinger sp1000 battery's and for amps Zapco AG1000 over 1200 watts coming out of each. Problems I have with the W7 the bass hit so loud it viberated my rear view mirror down and cracked it when it hit my shifter. Also you need alot of power to get to theses speakers. They like power too, alot of power if you have it. And a big Q that goes out to 2gnt; I see everybody trying to go faster but does anyone ever go louder? I am looking for DB levels people hit, if you go on shout it out thanx boys.

Have you ever used a skidder to get a truck out of the mud. It was almost as fun as all the times I have worked on a DSM.

My bad, I didn't know they didn't come in 15's just going by what the guy said. He's the kind w/ lots o $$$$ that just pays people to build shit for him. Kid Cap0, I've always heard small hatchback cars make good enclosures so I guess you are going the right route. Around here lots of people swear by JL And its not like they are shit or anything , I just think there is better out there.

700.00 each.........no way.. i don't pay retail. i got them for 400 each. plus it only costs me materials at cost to get them customized into my trunk. I don't have to pay install since i got my car sponsored. Just have to pay for equipment at wholsale price and they do all the installs. they just get to put there name on my car. gotta luv those sponsors.
