Ok I bought these JBL 12" subs for $120 total. They are JBL LC-S1200W subs. The guy said they were 1200 watts each, and showed me tha back and it said LC-S1200W, so I thought they were 1200 watts a peice and I gave em $120 for both. He said he left the boxes and manuals at home and would give them to me later. Well i look online and I only can find that they are 200W a peice and sum are 400W a peice...which one is it? There is a serial number on these too...I'll get sum pictures up.

JBL's are nice subs, but i doubt they can handle 1200 watts, esp for a 12" sub. 300 or 400 watts sounds more like it..could be 1200 watts peak power handling...

Id love to see some JBLs powered by my USA-2000 I bet it would blow 4 15s I have 2 12s that handle 1000 rms and when your dealing with that amount of wattage it can get crazy. I was never aware of JBL makeing a 1000 watt sub maybe man is 1000 but not rms. I don't think you got riped off.. I think you got played for a fool.. do your research before buying anything.

Yea I should I have done more research, but I was under pressure...dude said that if I meet em up right then and there he would knock off $20...so I just left. I think they are 400W peak and 200 rms...cuz look at these sites and tell me what you think. Im fine with them if they are 400watts peak...but I still want to get like $20 or $40 back from him just for tryin to bullshiet me and say they were 1200watts each...I'll get those pix of up later...i cant connec to my ISP to upload those pix (diamn comcast) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1349176315

Michael... the specs for the sub should be 400rms and 1200max. I don't think those sites you listed are correct. That's what the box says too. I'm supposed to get the boxes and reciept from him tomorrow. He had 250w going through one of them last night and I thought they sounded nice and deep. Put them in a nice sealed box with the correct volume size and push 350-400 good watts into each of them and I know you'll love em. I think $120 was a good price considering they're brand new... I would've bought them!
BTW - the specs on my 10" subs that you heard last night is the same as the ones you have. The box says 1200watts max & 400 watts RMS. But I've seen sites on the net that list them as 400peak 250rms. The back of my speakers say 400 watts and nothing else. I'm putting 650watts into each of them.
Let me know what's up man... I hate that you feel ripped off... but I still think they're worth what you paid. The receipt says $250.

Well I was going to keep them anyways...cuz that one that we heard sounded mean, man it was tight, I wish I can hurry up and buy and amp to hook them up toO to listen to two of them. It just seemed like my magnet was a hella of a lot smaller than yur 10" magnets, but I guess once I see the box and the reciept I'll feel better whatever it is AS LONG as its 400 or over watts. Cuz when I saw that one online that said peak power 200watts my stomach just sank ya kno. I guess im just messin my head up seeing all this and I just have to have patience, but thanx Doug for tellin me about these 2 subs, oh yea and dat neon light he sold my boi, man that light is tight as hell, do you think yur boi has another one for sale? How long is yurs, where did you get it from, and how much? All I thought about at school today was how I would setup my system in the trunk hopeing it would come out at least if not as tight as yours. OH YEA EVERYBODY...man Doug's system is off the chain, its so tight, his whole car is tight, you guys got to see it in person if you can Next time I meet up with you Doug I'll be shure to get sum pix of yur car so I can add em to my site.
PS: Can you find a good JBL sub for me that would push these for me. I found this one JBL Power Series BP600.1 it says its 300W x1 and 600 watts at 2ohms. So Im going to bridged these two amps at 2ohms right and should be pushin 300 watts through each of them with that amp. It cost $187.99 online What do you think? Or is that to weak?

I think that's a good choice for an amp. I've only installed one JBL amp in the past but it's sound was nice, powerful, and clean! I think the 600.1 mono amp is a good amp for your subs. What do the rest of you guys think? Here's a pic too...
And about the neon, I'll ask him tomorrow if he has another one. I got my neon for free from my brother. I'm not sure how long it is, I'll measure it. I'm thinking about making it light when the bass hits. I have the control unit to do it and it has on, flash with bass, and off. For a minute I thought I was getting pulled over last night for the neon, but it wes for no taillights. 15 amp fuse fixed that problem. Later...
