Just curious as to how many of you are also performance orientated and have killer audio systems.. I just got most of my equipment together for what will be 1 hell of a system. I have an Eclipse 8051 for a HU a set of Focal Utopia 136w componets which will be powered by a USAmps 100x and 2 DD 9012s that will be pushed by a USAmps USA-2000 in a 4 cu ft. sealed box. Now all I need is a custom built HO Alternator made by Ohio Generator which will run me $600, maybe a little more and an Optima yellow top.

Funny you post this because that is my holy grail. Have a well balanced car. Originally I wanted all motor but deviated the funds to a system too. Now I have more audio than performance!!! But slowly trying to make the car quicker, while also upgrading my sound. Good luck to you!!!

Well i have had my system just thrown together in the hatch and it was a mess for a long time, just didn't have the time to do it up. After taking everything out, i didn't really notice a performance gain, very slight if any at all. I had an Eclipse 15" sub(50 lbs right there), small sealed box(10 lbs) 2 DEI 1100d's(10 lbs) DEI 500 4 ch(8lbs). So i figure around 80+ pounds of equipment, and no real perf loss with it all in there. Now i have totally redone my system, all nice and custom in the hatch, and prob have added maybe 20 pounds at the most. Still didn't notice any real perf loss by adding the extra weight. As far as the butt dyno is concerned, i belive it takes at least 100+ pounds of wieght addition or removal to notice a good difference..oh yeah, i will have some pics up very soon with my new setup and all black interior..
