Hello, the pioneer series head units are labeled in 7300, 9300, 7400. The premier versions are P730, P930, P740 to name a few. Main differences: Premier has 2 year warranty, (I started typing this reply and now that I look for my pioneer catalog to give you exact specs....I can't find it) Basically more bell and whistles!!!! The pioneer headunits only have a 1 year warranty. I'm actually getting the P740 this week upgrading from a P730. The 740 plays MP3's and the display has more and higher graphics this year. I can get this headunit for $360 from a wholesale warehouse that I am affiliated with. If you are interested in this or any other headunit let me know I'll be glad to hook you up.

One other key thing is the premiere has high voltage preouts (around 4 volts or so) whereas the regular has about half that. High voltage preouts will give a cleaner signal to your amp and you won't have to turn the gains up as much if you have an amp/subs. The two year warranty itself is worth the extra 30 bucks I paid for the Premiere model over the regular.

Thanks for all your help guys. I think I"ve decided on the Pioneer Premier 840. I'm redoing my interior lighting in blue and I think it will look sweet. Now I just have to wait on my bonus at work before I fork out the $400. Thanks again.
