Hi i just put an amp, it does sounds better, but i have a problem, what do i do with the cables that go to the Headunit to the speakers, what i did for the moment is cut it so it wont short at the speakers location, do i need to do this at the HU? or this is fine.

Also i did 3 out of 4 speakers, the front ones are a bitch, well how do i run 16 gauge speaker wire to the left front one? Is there an easy way to do it? do i have to take out my dash?

I cut the wires at the radio's harness. Tape them off so they don't short out on any bare metal.

Running new wires into the doors is a bitch so I just used the wires that runs from the doors into the center console. I ran the wires from my amp to behind the radio and connected them there.

doesn't this affect the sound, or for the normal kinda system is not worth it to run new wire to the speakers?

are you guys using the factory head unit with factory speakers? i was thiking about just replacing the amp under my seat with a better one. would this help? what did you guys add?

Usually what i do, is if the amp is in the rear, take off the rear speaker wires, and use those to amp your front speakers. So the rear output of your amp will go to the rears directly, and then the front output of your amp will connect to the stock wires that went to your rear speakers. Now at the stock radio harness, you cut and tap the rear wires to connect to the front wires, and bam, you just amped your fronts using the stock wiring. The stock wiring is sufficient enough to push most in door speakers, so don't worry about that. This way has always been the easiest way to amp front speakers, and you don't have to run any wire into the door.

it took me a while to understand what the hell you were sayin..but i like that last idea you had... basically disconnect the rear wire from the rear speaker..and plug it into the amp and the other end into the front speaker wire? and just rewire the rears from the amp?

Yep. You wire your rears directly from the amp to the rears. You then take some wire from the amp for the fronts, and connect this to the rear stock wires you just disconnected from the rear speakers. You then get at the radio harness, and find the rear speaker wire colors, and cut them, and find the front speaker wires and cut them, and then just connect the rear and front wires together to send the signal to the fronts. Be sure to get the rear wires that are cut off of the speaker end of the wire, not the radio end. Same for the fronts. Just connect the speaker ends of the cut front and rear wires together. I hope this makes sense..

Yep... that's exactly what I did. Except I ran new wires to the tweets in the dash so I could connect them to my crossover network. I didn't know where the tweeter wires ran to and what (if anything) interupts them. And I think that the stock wiring is sufficient for up to 100 watts or so.
