Alright, I've had my car for almost a year now and I've put a sweet system in it, but I have yet to replace the 3 1/2" speakers in the dash. I have taken them out and noticed that they just pop in and out. Now, the aftermarket have the pieces sticking out from the sides for the screws...does this install require a lot of modification? because I know that those speakers will not fit in there with those screw things sticking out...please help my guys cuz this is really makin me mad.

The dash speakers are not 3-1/2". You can't fit 3-1/2"s in there without removing the dash I believe. Or you could cut the dash holes bigger and make a custom grill. Most of us with systems put tweets in there.

I never really bothered with those speakers up in the dash. In fact when I put in my 6.5" component set up in the front I ran new speaker lines and ditched the stock ones in the dash altogether.
