First off, I'm about to get my Eclipse next week... but I already bought a Pioneer DEH-P740MP Premier CD/MP3 player and a set of JBL EC 6.2 components. I have been looking at a 6.4" flip out LCD screen to add as well, it's just the screen and nothing else, so I would have it installed ABOVE the Pioneer head unit. Is there enough room for 2 head units? I hope so, because I like the stealth features of the screen. Also, you folks with PS2, DVD, etc... where did u mount them?
Also, I think I'm going to install 2 12" subs in a custom built enclosure, but I don't know which subs to get. I found some JL 12W3 and some Infinity Perfect on ebay for around $150 each... which other subs would you guys recommend, and what kind of amp to push them. I want to get a Class D amp and make sure my bass RUMPS...

sup dude, JL 12W3's bump, the only thing i don't like about them is that they can't handle too much power. i personally like the boston acoustics proseries subwoofers, they run about 279$+ each. they range from 50-1100 watts and sound really nice and hard. My friend with a mustang with a 800a2 (400wattx2) Rockford fosgate amp and 2 10" JLw3 vs my 150wattx2 2 10" boston acoustics proseries, everyone of my friends says that mine not only sounds better, but louder than the JLs. i personally don't like JL's at all. You could also consider brands like Eclipse (aliminum or titanium), polk momo (you can get these subs on ebay for cheap, and they sound nice). i think the momo's max out at around 1000 wattS, or somewhere around there, i really like those subs for their price. good amps in my opinion are rockford 800a2 2-ch or kicker 800watt ( i especially like the new model kicker amps that require the 2-guage power supply cables). Ppi is good, and kicks hard, but usually u can't find good deals on them, they're really expensive. On ebay u can find lots of rockfords and kicker amps. i don't know if u can fit two head units. i have no idea about that, just because i know the unit itself will fit, but i have no idea about the casing that goes around the head unit. if you want it looking all ghetto, i'm sure u can put them in there.

Technically, we don't have double din openings(two HU's). I'm sure it can be done though with a little modifacation. The space there is almost enough. I personlly dont care for JL subs, i've blown too many of em. Don't exceed the rms power rating on those subs for too long, they will blow. Any class D amp made by poplular manufactures are good ones, you are wise going the class D route. If you get a flip out lcd screen, just be aware that your climate controls will be covered up with the screen open. Not a real big deal, but something to remember.

Hence why it is not a true double din opening Might take a little work to get it in good, but shouldn't be too much of a big deal. Use your imagination..

I really want to get this indash screen, I need to figure out how to make it fit flush... if not, I'm going to have to mount it on the dash somewhere cause I don't really like the visor thing... maybe a flip-down 7" or something.
Anyways, HOPEFULLY I'm going to get some Polk Momo subs from my friend on discount from Circuit City... but he's been bullshitting lately.
XtremeRS... you have any other pics of your car? I want to see what the limo tint looks like... that's 5% right? What state do you live in?

Yeah limo is 5%. I have this on my back hatch window, and the two little side quarter windows. I have 45% on the driver/passenger windows. I live in Michigan, and its Illegal to have ANY tint on the driver/passenger windows, but i havent been pulled over yet(knock on wood). In my area, the cops are pretty generous with the tint, and if they can see you for the most part, you are ok. I used to have 35% on my side windows on my old Grand Prix, and i got pulled over up in northen michigan on a trip, and had to take it off. There is no fine, but you have to take your car to the Police station and have an officer look at the car and sign off on the ticket seeing that your tint has been removed. If i get caught again, there is a possibility of 2 points on my record for obstruction of view, so they say...Check your local stat laws on tinting, they very greatly from state to state..It is leagal here in michigan to have up to 5% tint on any window besides the driver passenger. They do let you have a 4" strip of tint at the top of the window on the driver/passenger, but that looks gay IMO... Here is another pic for you.The pic doens't do justice, it looks a little lighter in person esp on the driver/passenger

you need to take off those pieces that go around the head units. they may slide in easier
