#2001, "box dimensions"

Can anyone calculate the dimenison of a box that could be installed on that little step in the front of our hatch, right next the the back of the rear seats.

Right now i have a huge bandpass box and i need to get rid of it and put a smaller box in there so i don't have to use my back seat as a trunk.

I think i want 1.0 - 1.2 cubic feet box for my 12" DHD sub. I am going to make it out of 3/4 MDF board and wrap it in fiberglass or vinyl.

Thanks

i saw an eclipse one time that had free standing subs installed there (with no box), they basically mounted on a custom wall built that fit right behind the back seat, and used the trunk like a box, saving all that room. he had 2 12s in there, i never heard it tho so i dont know how well it worked, but it looked cool.
