What is the metal object under the center consol? I remember someone saying it was an amp. Is that right? If it's an amp, which wire is which? Is the remote turn on wire there. What about the speaker wire?

That would be the brain for the airbags. Would be wise not to mess with those wires.. emoji

Yes don't mess with those wires they will set off the airbags. And if you decide for what ever reason to fuck with that (for example taking out the airbags for a in dash TV or somthing) disconnect the battery but still don't mess with those wires for about an half hour, that thing will hold a charge and can still set those airbags off even though the battery has been disconnected.

If you have the stock radio WITH the infinity system then your amp is under the seat of the car. If you don't have the Infinity system, there is no amp.
