what size subs do you want?? also, do you need a box too? if i were you i would look around for some quality used stuff, like the box. if you want to get all new stuff, it will be alot harder to fit into your price range. a couple tips, get decent subs-i've seen a couple people get "1000 watt" cheap-ass subs and blow them out with a 200 watt amp. also, get good wiring-it helps!! go to your local car audio store, they can help ya out. and if you can install it yourself, do it!

Just bought, mostly stock...but the ladies don't seem to care!

MTX amp(love it), 2 MTX 12's(hate em!), major custom box build in to hatch underway

Just remember, you get what you pay for. If you can do without for a while I would say just take what you have now and start buying components one at a time. If not and you go with really cheap stuff, you'll just be wasting that money since you'll pull it all back out and get better stuff later. Better to do it right the first time. Alot of shops will do some kind of financing if you don't mind paying the interest, b ut if HAVE to have it now then that would be a halfway decent alternative. Off the top of my head I know there a couple of guys on the board here that run shops and can probably get you a good deal on some quality $hit. Search through and see who has posted before on offering other members a deal. Think Brynden is piecing his system out right now, might be able to cut a sweet deal with him, and he has some good high quality $hit on the auction block.
