I might be mounting some subs iso-baricly anyone know the exact air space in our car in cu ft. ??

Space of the car doesn't matter, just make sure your enclosure is designed properly.....remember if your subs call for 2 cubes each, then you only 1 cube of airspace to mount them both isobarically....also remember you lose 3dB of sound when you go iso...

How the hell did you know my subs needed 2 cu ft. each?? I take it you guessed. Do you mean 1 cu ft. per sub or for both and how doesn't the cu ft. of airspace not matter isn't that what tunes a sub? I guess this is where the isobaric concept comes in and fuck the 3 dB's I was already hitting over 150 with these subs which is way loud enough for me, check out www.ddaudio.com and tell me you wouldn't want to show off them magnets, but then again I do have the carbonfiber dustcap on the 9000 series 12s.

You will need 1 cube for both, if you were moutning them straight up, then you would need a 4 cube enclosure for both of them, 2 per....but iso cuts your airspace down the half of the total airspace required for ONE sub, so one sub would take a 2 cube enclosure, but 2 subs mounted iso will require a 1 cube enclosure. Just remember that you HAVE TO wire them out of phase or else you will destroy your subs. Unless you are using free air subs, then the interior space of the car doesn't matter, the airspace for the subs is provided by the enclosure they are in, guess the best way to describe it would be that your enclosure is like the suspension on your car, it is what controls the movement of the sub, to much and it will bottom out and sound flat, to little and it will be punchy and very well might pop the surround..Good luck on the box, and yes the 2 cubes was a guess but is standard for most normal 12's........
