I know how to construct a speaker box and everything but im afraid i will make my subs sound like crap if i screw up the airspace.
I was wondering if i posted my airspace requirements and everything...
if someone could do the design and layout for the box. Im basically looking for someone to design my box and just let me build it to the correct specs. TIA

Well i have Bass Box Pro 6 on my comp, its a really good box building program. But as for basics, to find your volume of air, take Length x Width X Hight, then divide by 1728. This will give a volume of air in Cubic Feet. Of course this will be an inside measurement of the box, so you have to take in account of the wood thickness to get your actual cutting measurements. I can design a box for you if you can give me the brand and model of sub you have, and what kind of box you want, just let me know.

Actually that will give you the total displacement of the box, to get the internal airspace you need to subtract the thickness of the wood at various points. On most standard setups subtract 1.5 inches from one of the sides to get the correct internal displacement. Also if your going to port the box you need to account for the size and shape of the ports and also if you put a divider in the center, take off for that too. and if you mount the subs the traditional way you need to take off about another .2 to .4 of airspace to account for the baskets and magnets.
