There's a LOT of room in the dash behind the radio. how deep of an item are you planning on trying to fit in there?

I'm in the process of getting a new head unit and I couldn't remember what kind of space was in there since I haven't messed with it in about 8 years. I was originally going to order from Crutchfield but they are giving me issues on what can and can't fit...gave up on them. I just found out the specs on the unit I have now and stayed close to that.

It is nearly bottomless, I've never seen a HU before that wouldn't fit depth-wise in that space.

Any 2DIN, or single DIN with pocket (or kit), will fit perfectly.

The stock cavity for a 2g DSM with ISO mount provisions is 8" depth by 8" width by 5" height. The dash opening is 7 5/32 width by 4 height. Or like stated before..... Bottomless. You could mold a beer cooler in that opening.
