#12668, "No sub response with Ipod out of an Alpine CDA-7893" Feb-10-07 05:15 PM by DJ420a
So I have the Alpine CDA-7893 and also have an Ipod, figured Id give it a try. I decided atleast for now to get the Ebay "2 piece" cables, just to see if it worked. Well it worked and sounds great!! Only prob is, I get nothing from my sub.
I have the AI switch turned on under the HU and the AUX is switched to on in the HU. I couldnt find any other setting that would seem like it has something to do with the sub problem.
Any of you guys run into this problem or heard of this? I was thinkn it might be the cheapy cables, but I am getting awesome quality out of the fronts and rears.

just a shot in the dark, does the head unit store seperate profiles for each source? If it has the dedicated subwoofer control, perhaps when you use the aux source or whichever, the subs are faded all the way to 0. dunno why else it wouldn't be sending any sig to the subs..
