I have a lead to buy one for 200 bucks out right. It comes with the harness already prewired for my application and the console insert. I searched and didn't see anyone with this HU and I was wondering if it's a decent unit for the money.

that is an excellent headunit my friends girlfriend has that in her eclipse and she loves it. Like any pioneer product I have always found them dependable, and they have great upgradability and have many features. I am sure you will be more than satisfied in the way it operates. This is my opinion I have'nt delt with any kind of headunit but after owning 3 pioneer units I have loved them all and nothing was wrong with them when I replaced them, I was just moving on to the next best thing they had. Check out pioneers website to see what kind of add-ons there are. I think pioneer makes the best headunit out there for the money outside of all the more expensive brands ... eclipse etc.. lol. I could go on all day though about what a great headunit pioneer makes. You will be more than happy though.

Im starting to hate Pioneer and most other car radio manufactures in general. Gone are the days of useful screens, now they all seem to be filled with gay ass animations and single line text displays. I don't know about you but I like the the simple/useful screen displays. I've been sporting the JVC KD-LH910 deck for awhile and love the thing. It does mp3 as well. Heck I can even put a 1GB SD memory card in the unit and play mp3s from it as well. It has some stupid animation crap as well, but for once you have the option to turn it off. It has a multi-line display so if you are playing an mp3 cd it will read the id3 tags and display it as

Artist
Song Title

Instead of Artist - Song Title on one line that has to scroll across like most other radio decks.

It's not the fanciest or most expensive radio other there but it serves it purpose well IMO. They can be had for about $200, you can even pick the color of the screen. Something I like since I can get the color close to what the rest of my interior lights look like.

I got my P7700MP a month ago and I love it.It does have alot of the little animation movie things but you can turn them off.The unit is working my two amps and does really well.I am still looking through the manual and finding stuff I didn't know.I think you would be getting a good unit.

I have the JVC AR5500 which is like an updated model of the LH series, I believe. If yours is the touchscreen one then yes, this is a great headunit. The animations were cool for about two hours before I got sick of them, and the ones they offer on the site aren't any better, but honestly the effect of animations wears off real quick.

I love this headunit more than anything... figures right after I hook it up my power antenna breaks.. just my dsm's way of showing me love
