Just want to know who is doing what and how thats going for you. Im doing SQ primarily, but its also set for SPL fairly well. Running a single 12 and over 142dB. Went to two shows this summer and got 2nd place on both for SQ.

SQ (strangley enough). my last set of subs in my eclipse could do 150dBs, but was in a ported enclosure tuned to 35hz with a relativly flat Q. SPL is the easy part, its getting that awesome soundstage that intregues me.

:shhh: i do cocaine :/shhh:

yea, def, i did both and SPL is way easier. more power = mo' bettah. its not as technical as Q

I just wish my car was as fast as it was loud. people tell me i should use my sub to push it, it might go faster.

I respect SPL because alot more than just pushing more power goes into it. I have talked to some guys about box design for hours who were doing that stuff, and almost the whole time the conversation was well above my head. I'm all about the SQ. Saves the ears and its really rewarding to start from nothing and then have something sound incredible after all the hours you put into it. You can't really impress too many people because hardly anyone has a trained ear. So it's kind of a glory vs. pride debate.
