#10913, "freaking wiring harness!"

i'm installing a new cd player, just a cheap pyle for now, but anyways. for some reason i'm having problems, when i installed the cd player into my eclipse i didn't have any problems, with this...i'am.

i have everything wired up, the speakers all are color coded and match, etc. well the dimmer (pos, and neg), illumination and power antenna wires have nothing to connect to. i can get the cd player to turn on and work, but no sound. if i take the amp wire and touch it to the 12volt power wire it'll have sound but the quality sucks badly. i need help!!!

here's some pics:
overview of the wiring harnesses, top one connects to the speakers, right one the power harness, and the left bottom one goes to the cd player.

power harness, the red one is the 12volt power, it is temp. disconnected.

my finger showing the blue amp turn on wire

again...please help!

just went through this a while ago it was a pyle also for some reason the front and rear speakers were reverse what ours are not sure if that will help and not sure why that would affect you not having sound at all also if the sound really sux and you know that the speakers are good than you have a wire reversed somewhere if one is off it will affect the others too

First of all, crimps suck for quality. You should be soldering and shrink wrapping all connnectings. Secondly, all those wires you aren't using have bits exposed. You should always cut those off past the insulation cut and tape them off. You don't want them accidentally grounding out.

From looking at your connections, aside from what I mentioned, it looks like you have everything hooked up right. I'd say it's the CD Player dude. Pyle isn't known for it's quality bro.

from what i can tell (from memory), you are missing quite a few connections there. there should be two harnesses to connect to the stock female connectors, and they are not divided up simply as "power" and "signal". the larger harness should have more connections to it. also, it appears that you have a signal (speaker) wire grounded in the first two pictures. recheck your wiring and make SURE that it is accurate.
