in a box made for an eclipse, stuff is still pretty new. Pickin it all up for $200. Will do me well for now, i'll prolly end up finding out the max output on the subs and getting new amps. I guess its time to get door speakers and hook up my rockford 4 channel amp. Now to see what my head unit can really do emoji

I've missed having a system since my last one was stolen, i figure i am off to a decent start. So i guess i am keeping my car now emoji Now for the motor rebuild (stock) and a lil suspension work (sway bar end links and cv joints) and she should be rollin just fine. Oh yeah, anyone know of a free cf hood thats not all fucked up for me? emoji

finding out tomorrow. Pretty sure its a shit amp. That doesn't worry me though, $200 for three subs in a box is a decent deal. As long as it can push em aight it will suffice till i can get my hands on a phoenix gold or us amps amp.

Now i am looking forward to the weekend, bout time i get some boom boom back.

Alpine v12 amp...one of them 4 channel + sub output deals. kind of a rip to run 3 subs on IMO. I'm kinda pissed, but i could use it for my interiors, although thats what i had my rockford 4 channel for. Is there any way i could hook this up to run the subs decently till i get an actual sub amp?

fuck all this...i'm gettin my money back tomorrow. I am bidding on a Adire Audio Brahma 12" sub...its a dvc that can handle 1600 watts, and they are usually on back order. Prolly gonna get a Kenwood KAC-5192D class d amp (1800 watt peak).

Then comes building my own box...hoping to use the spare tire space for that, depending on the neccessities of that particular sub, or any other one i get.

Damn dude, you should have done the "wall socket amp" to them. That rocks, I've always wanted to hear it in a car.

hmm by any chance did the things look like this

I am thinking about getting rid of those and getting just 1 12" woofer. stupid me. I am only giving them like 800Watts max... and even then my lights dim out on certain tracks.

edit: i know it is bad to mount the amp to the back of the subs, but oh well, that is just for now

I was going to until I was reading on that BCAE1 site about how caps aren't really that great. Either way I am still looking to just get 1 12". Free up some space in the trunk and it will be way lighter. I am leaving the audio/appearance mind frame and gonna start working on making my car fast now. Basically just support mods until I can afford Turbo and a new bottom end...
