Thats basically all you really do need to watch dvd. I believe you can get a player to for about 300 or so, and a simple small lcd screen for about another 200 or so, and just use the rca cable hookups for video that most monitors come with. To hear the audio through your radio, just use an FM modulator and hook that up to the audio out of the player. The modulator will play the sound through the set radio station. This is a very basic setup, and its still not cheap!

well.. i have a basic setup.. what size screen are you looking for? 4" is like 100-125, and 5" is like 140-180ish. you can find home dvd players for like 100 and just make sure they are mounted good. and then spend like 15(?) for an fm modulator. very basic, and like said earilier, no that cheap.

^^what once was^^

^^what is now.. and permanently^^

yeah... just like they said above. I put a 5" screen in my passenger visor. You need an FM modulator, LCD module, source (ps1 or ps2 or dvd or vhs), DC/AC inverter... i think thats about it. You can find everything you need at www.partsexpress.com Thats where I bought mine. It turned out really good. It doesnt stick out of the visor a bit. It looks normal when closed. Also.. when you get more advanced, you can get a tv tuner so you can watch regular tv too.
