you should probably run the headunit a separate wire just so if it pops the fuse because of a fault somewhere else, your starter will still work. otherwise, look in the autometer manuals and see if they mention current draw anywhere. otherwise, 8ga will be fine and a 30-45 amp fuse would get the job done, unless I am missing something somewhere and the actual starter would be getting power from here too...

alright. gauges couldn't possibly draw that much. check out the stock fuse for our stock cluster, add 5 amps for each gauge, and the starter will probably have a recommendation somewhere. 8ga would be fine, but if you start gettin up there in amperage (say 70amps plus) you would probably be better off with 4ga. If you run the head unit off the fusebox, go with 4ga just for peace of mind. Fatter wires look better anyway
