I have an RS, no power windows or locks

now i used the SEARCH button and wasnt satisfied

is there any RS owners who are running GS/GST/GST door skins with aftermarket relays and window motors? (pics?) is this even worth it or should I just add aftermarket switches for windows and locks?

thanks yall emoji

if you have an alarm you don't really need switches for the locks. that's how my car is. power lock but no switches. after market power windows with aftermarket switches in the center console. i like it better than stock skins. plus it made things way easier when i added automatic/remote window control to my car.

Heres one.

I'm getting a SPAL kit. If I install it and then instead of buyign there switches I want to use the GS door skins I have. How do I wire these up? I know someone here has doen this. Can you post a schematic or something? Will I still need these relays?

With most automotive manufacturers, the wiring is all the same. Usually that is. Pull your door skins off and check to see if the harnesses their for the lock switches and windows. All you really need to use OEM switches is the door sill anyway. No need to swap out the entire skin.

yea but no one wants those ugly caps over thier window rollers. I have the spalls kit for 5 years now, with only one mishap (my fault). I also got GS trim skins, they are sooooooo much nicer than those ugly RS ones. As for wiring them up, just read the directions on the kit. You can't go wrong. Well i guess you could, but I'm sure you can figure it out.

power equals more weight and with our cars near 3000lbs, weight is not our friend. just my opinon but yeah its sucks reaching across to roll the passenger side window down. and yes i have a rs so i feel your pain. Im just going to add power windows, everything else can stay the same.
