Any of you have 6*9s or just so much bass behind the plastic panels in the back seat that it just rattles to shit. It's really annoying that I can't get any bass out of the back without the god damn thing rattling really bad. Anyone have a solution to maybe dampenin it down some?

Put strip insulation around the base of your speakers, the base of your speaker mounts, dynomat the area, fill all useless voids with great stuff expanding foam, remount all your plastic with rubber washers under the screw holes....there's tons of shit you can do.
Oh, and you won't get "good bass" out of 6X9's in those pods anyway. You have to have suspensitory air to get quality bass. All you're gonna get out of there is a cone flopping around and distorting like a mofo.

what aaron said..but be VERY careful w/ the expanding foam, lol. its easy for it to get out of control.
to start, play the speakers on a song that they vibrate alot ond go to the backseat. use your hands to push down on certain areas to see if the vibration stops. that should help you localize it.

yea, thats how i got rid of my rattles in the back. i just climbed in the back and listened for the rattles. i used expanding foam and that foamy stuff ppl put under carpeting. i used spray glue and put a double layer on the panels in the back from the inside. therse no rattles, my bumper doesnt rattle, neither does the plate. its solid. took me a while though. im working on the 3 trunk panels now. goin to cram them back in soon and in spring get going on the doors, floor, dash and roof. if u want some pics of my setup IM me, same name on AIM
I just wish my car was as fast as it was loud. people tell me i should use my sub to push it, it might go faster.
