#10037, "I want everbody to try something!!"

Unless some of you already have had this happen, try this and let me know if its just my car or its normal.

Get a cordless drill and run it inside your car. Just sit in your divers seat and pull the trigger. When I do that my alarm goes off, even when its not set. Now the funny thing is, when I set the alarm off with my cordless drill, I pull the trigger again and it shuts the alarm off. It will even do this when the car is running. WTF??

That is really odd. I know when I get a cell phone call and it's in the bathroom it will turn my electirc razor on. Might be something like that.

I wonder if your cordless drill is running off some frequency similar to that of your car alarm receiver. That is cool, but sucks! emoji

My alarm used to go off when I didn't even set it. It did it all the time between 3:30 and 4:00 a.m. I got pissed and stopped turning it on and it still went off every night. I ended up finding out I had a short, but still, it was weird.

Curious, so you can set the alarm on and off with the drill? Did your alarm go off because you door was open? There is no doubt that the drill has similar fequency signal like your alarm, but I was curious about setting it off.

Power drills give off Radio Frequency Interference. Any time you see a blue spark in an electric motor, it's producing interference. You'll get similar effects running the power drill next to your TV, computer, or Cordless Phone.

Your alarm just has shitty noise filtering.
