This is not for my car, it is for my friends Jetta. His fuse keeps blowing out on him and its when hes not even putting it really high. First off here is his system if it can help to determine whats wrong

right huur.
what fuse is blowing? the main one on the amp line...or is it one in the distrobution block? theres two possible things that could be wrong:
1) theres a short somewhere along the line. go pick up some cheap 4ga welders cable form home depot ad run it off of the fuse (or circuit breaker) from the battery OUTSIDE the car (through the window, whatever..just for ease) and to the rear. if the problem stops then youve isolated it. the cable should only cost a few bucks. if you are still blowing fuses, disconnect the ground from one of the amps (and take ou the RCAs just to completely isolate and ground reference). one of the amps may be culprit, though i highly doubt it.
2) you are draing more current than the fuse is rated for. dont use anything over about 80amps...100 is really pushing it (but is still safe IMO). you can always fuse higher than the amps current rating, as the fuse is protecting the wire, not the equipment on the end of it.
a circuit breaker serves the same function as a fuse but is resetable. there are simply two terminals allowing it to go inline with the power wire just like a fuse would. to be honest with you...i dont trust them. they are more prone to sticking "closed" and can present a major hazard...ESPECIALLY considering the situation your friend is in. until you fix the system PLEASE use fuses.
