hook an amp and subs up to the stock deck? my deck is broken an i have to put the old one back in cause i got no money to spend on a sound system. i just bought HRC stage 2 and getting rims in a few days. so my stock deck is going to be in there for a while. the only good thing to come of this is i get my stock cd changer back

Sure is. You need what's called a "line-out converter", which converts speaker leads(what comes out of your deck) into RCA jacks(what connects to the RCA's connected to your amp).

Right off the top of my head, I want to say the Peripheral l/o-converter runs about $39.99. I haven't sold one in the past few days, and we've been doing a lot of price changes lately so I'm not 100% sure.

Or if your amp has high level inputs, then you can run the speaker wires directly into the amp. Your amp specs should specify whether it has high level inputs or not...

does the converter sound good? i assume that i won't sound as good as an aftermakert deck but will it suck. another question...how do i get to the stock wiring? my first guess would be the rear speakers? how do you get panels off to get to the 6x9's.

Correction: the line-out converter by Peripheral is $19.95, not $39.95. I was thinking of the piece we have hanging next to it.

And Eclipse804's suggestion would also work(and save you some money) if your amp has high-level inputs on it.

There are 3 screws holding each back panel on. I start by removing the seat cushion. To do that, pull out on the little black rings that barely stick out from underneath the cushion, and lift up on the cushion while pulling. Once the cushion is out, you can see and remove the two lower screws easily. The other one you can get to by folding down the rear seat.
