#1691, "Hello"

First off, I would like to express my appreciation for this site and its members. The wealth of knowledge and wisdom from its members has helped me in many situations during the build of my car. I believe this site has provided immeasurable knowledge to those who enjoy and love our unique vehicles. Ok, enough praising, let’s get to the purpose of my post. My name is David Mathis and I’ve owned my 98 Eclipse GS for a little over 3 years, and enjoyed every minute of it.
I originally purchased this vehicle from a member of this site, and he had already done extensive work to the car. The car had a built bottom end, Portfueler, Super 20g, and numerous other modifications. I drove the car off and on for about a year. I ended up having a collision on the interstate with a 12’ long 4”x4” stud. It struck my downpipe squarely and lifted the head, and collapsed my 3” exhaust piping. This incident led me in my current direction with the car. I wanted to be unique from some of the other cars out there.

These pictures are eight months old and do not have the new intake manifold or the wire tuck. I’ll have that finished this weekend. While I have the attention of the forum, I want to test the waters a bit, and get the opinion of those who understand the value of our vehicles. I would like to try to sell my car, but I don’t have too. I totally understand I’m not going to get anywhere near what I’ve invested. I’m looking for a realistic number considering the modifications. Again, great site and I’m open to your opinions and comments.
Thanks
David Mathis
