#109768, "Question about Ignition Amplifiers with timing control for use with a Portfueler"

Recently I was messaging Bill Hahn JR about higher HP 420a's using portfuelers. He told me that they have built many 400+ HP 420a's on portfuelers. Any applications that were 12 psi or higher they used a Crane or MSD ignition amplifier with timing control and would retard timing 4-8 degrees depending on the tune. Could anyone shine some light on ignition amplifiers for me? Difficulty of install or any other information would be greatly appreciated.
