#32067, "Fuel too low leading to air in system"

This thing just started happening a week or two ago. My tank is a little below half. I start the car up and hear the fuel pump whine and I also hear a sort of 'air trying escape' stutter sound. Like when you kink a garden hose and it pulses and sputters. It lasts for about a couple of seconds then goes away. Idle is fine A/F is fine and a/f. Then I fill up the tank and the phenomenom goes away...?? Anyone know what it could be?? THanks
