#20041, "Rolling Back Fender Wells?"

What's up guys, I lowered my car to the ground for the first time in a few months.... but the new tires are really close to the lip on the inside of the rear fender wells. There is about a pinky worth of room in between the tire and the lip, I know some of you all have come across this problem and rolled the lip up, how do you do this properly? I dont want it looking shitty or not do the job.... but the only thing i can think of is to cut a slit in the lip every 2-3 inches, and roll it up with a wooden handle or something? any info is much appreciated, couldnt find anything using search feature..
