#6229, "1G vs. 2G head install issues"

I picked up a 1G head over the winter and had it all machined, and was going to put it on my 2G 7-bolt block. I didn't realize until last night however, when I removed my 2G head that it doesn't look like it's going to be a direct swap.

I did a search and came up with this thread:
http://forums.2gnt.com/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=68&topic_id=1528&mesg_id=1528&listing_type=search
which was helpful ... but I'm looking more for install issues. It looks to me like the 2G thermostat housing will not work on a 1G head, and it also looks like there is going to be some issue with the cam position sensor.

I know putting 1G heads on 2G blocks is a fairly common thing, so there must be some solutoin to this. Anybody try this on here .... I don't want to have to visit dsmtuners
