ALso, you may wish to put a little dab of RTV around the threads of the screw to seal it and keep it from backing off, which it eventually may do. Also, be VERY careful tightening it, the threads strip out like butter.
Yes, if you tighten the lock nut too much, it will rip the adjustment screw right out of the BOV.
