Well...if you want to be really specific...
The best of the 2ga's are early build '95's. Almost all came with EPROM's and vented rear rotors. Nothing special about the '96 (except the Spyder). 2gb's had a few better options (especially the black interior) and the exterior differences as mentioned (and mud guards behind the tires). 99's also came with white face gauges. Another note is that of crankwalk. It seems that '97 was the worst year for it. The '98-'99's got the 3 piece bearings, or the 'fix', so cw is less common after '97. '95's also seem to see cw less than '96-'97. Also, 2ga's have the cam angle sensor behind the intake cam gear, where as the 2gb's have it 1g style, at the end to the cam. 2ga's also came with a rust protector, while 2gb's did not. Finally (I think), 2ga's and 2gb's have different gear ratios, which is why you can't use a 2ga transfer case on a 2gb transmission, and vice versa. That should be it though.
