#11998, "Wow, so much just happened in the 3000GT/Stealth world."
Well a local shop here called Altered Atmosphere used to have the 3000GT/Stealth world record for a couple years at 10.7 or 10.8 and then last year Dynamic Racing went 10.6 and a NON-SHOP car went 10.4 where the record stood. At our national gathering a couple weeks ago, another shop in NY finally broke the record and went 10.3 w/ his VR4 that puts down close to 900AWHP w/ full interior, horrible suspension, a sweet paint job and some heavy wheels.
EARLIER this week, the FWD Twin turbo shop car went 10.6 and finally break it's 10.8 time from earlier in the year. the FWD TT was the first car (AWD OR FWD) to break 140mph trap speed.
TONIGHT I get home to find that the FWD TT car went 10.1 @ 140mph!!! and as I get to the 6th page or so another link has been added showing another thread that started 20 mins after the FWDTT record was broken saying that the Dynamic Racing AWD car broke the record and went 9.7 @ 151mph!!! So the world record was broken twice in the same night not even an hour apart. I just thought I'd share that cause it's amazing. The NY shop owner isn't in the thread yet but his car should be able to go 9's to. It's amazing how long it took for a 3/S to get in the 9's but it's still nothing compared to DSM's, Supra's etc.
The world record car from Dynamic Racing is still running the stock block and I believe the stock cams and the FWDTT isn't running nitrous yet and was getting 1.5 60ft's. Not bad for heavy ass pig cars.
