here's a little article I wrote for a friend's website, it explains why I think rear drums aren't all that bad

and, one thing I didn't include when I wrote it was that drum brakes don't put a drag on the car like disk brakes do (disks always touch the rotors), but the car manufactures are going to come out with disk brakes soon that are pulled away from the rotors so they won't drag on the car, mostly for fuel economy reasons

so, I didn't include that because technology is changing and would make that fact obsolete
