Axis metal masters,Repco metal masters, Stillen metal matrix and AEM are good for the $50 price range. These are good everyday performance pads. Porterfield, Carbotech, and Hawk seem to be the choice for carbon/kevlar high performance AutoX type pads(rotor friendly and no fade). These are around $100 a set. The best everyday rear pads for disc brakes are Wagner organic. Bendix makes a good organic drum shoe. I also know that KVR performance makes a front and rear set of carbon/kevlar disc brake pads. I do not know anyone who uses them. Hope these choices help you.
