Well i have done towing for years and seen shit liek thathappen quite often. What happens is the "J" hook tilts up since the bed is on an angle and the tip of the hook digs into the CV boot. This is why its a general rule all FWD cars must be "T" slotted. There are "T" hooks in the tow stap that fit oblong slots in the subframe to tow FWD cars. The engineers really thought that one through for once. If your Rack and pinion is screwed up i have one for ya.....you pay the shipping and its yours.
