Unless I've forgotten everything I learned in thermodynamics, any gas confined in a fixed volume will change pressure as the temperature changes. Costco forgot the ideal gas law: PV = nRT. In a tire, V (volume), n (moles of gas), and R (universal gas constant) are fixed. So, P (pressure) will vary with T (temperature).
