Can anyone else confirm this?
I just called MSD and they said I will not see voltage on the wire coming out of the MSD since it is a Capasitive Discharge Unit, I would need to check it with a oscilliscope. Anyways, the LED lights on the side of the ECU no longer flash when cranking, so to my thinking, there is no signal from the MS ECU to the dis2 to fire the coil. The tech from MSD also told me I need to set the dwell time in the MS ECU to around 2.5 m/s, since that is what the MSD is looking for. I am honestly not sure of what it is at now. I was using Megatune still which aparently is outdated as hell, so, I downloaded TunerStudio and ordered a DB9 to USB cable online so I can use my new laptop to check with TunerStudio, since the old laptop was only used for MS with WINDOWS 95! HAHA.
So at this point, I guess I need to find out why those LEDs are night lighting...Is there a way to check the two trigger wires out of the MS ECU to see if there IS or IS NOT a signal from the MS ECU to determine if the ECU is damaged or not?
