yeah, why the heck would he 'pull' valve timing, if he could? You can do cam gears but that doesn't matter by psi, just boosted or n/a.
bagged - there's no correct answer, it all depends on the setup. Your exhaust/intake manifold design, pistons, AFR, octane, blah blah blah all influence it. I've read people running as low as 8* but as high as 20*. Best way is doing some dyno tuning with a scope or det cans if you don't have a fancy aftermarket knock sensor.
