#3132, "MSnS datalog mode?"

I'm running an MSnS with 72lb injectors which is giving me cel codes. At the moment I'm only running fuel. Unfortunately I need to get an emissions inspection. In Missouri they just check for cel codes on OBDII vehicles (which mine is, '97). So, I'm swapping my stock injectors back in and letting the stock ECU control them. My question is, can I leave the Megasquirt running without the injectors connected without burning up the MSnS? I'm hoping to datalog the car running on stock injectors so that when I put my larger injectors back in I can create an "emissions" tune based off of these datalogs that will hopefully keep the cel's under control for testing purposes. I don't know what version of software I'm using off hand, not sure it matters. I can check this evening if need be. Thanks for the help.
Tom
