The walbro 255 in an in-tank pump first off. It does not go in-line. You would need an "in-line" pump thats made to be in-line and if you have a fuel cell you can either get one to put the pump inside.
But why not just keep the stock tank and put a 255 in the tank? seems easier that way...?
