Sounds fairly familiar. I get that from time to time when the car is first started after sitting for a few hours or more.

There is a trick that might help you in the mean time.

If you look at that "arm" on the TB where the throttle plate slaps shut on the outside of the TB, you will see there is a little set screw there that the plate rests against. On the opposite side of that arm is a little tin cap that can be opened up - drill, awl, whatever - to give you access to the set screw. Then you can crank it out a little bit to mechanically raise your idle. This should help for a while. In fact, this is how I have my idle dialed in for almost a year now.

Once you figure out what's causing your other problems, you can fix them and set this back if you like. Totally, easily reversible.
