one thing i would do is put oil around the top of the new filter to make sure it seals properly. just dip ur finger in the old oil and smear it around the top of the new filter. once it gets tight just go another 1/4 turn. this will make it much easier to take off next time. i prefer fram tough guard filters too, btw.
