This sounds backwards. If it generates more electricity, it's going to be sucking away more hp to do so. You can get anything for free.
well it works off of a pully. Only if it takes more force to turn it yes but if it is the same amount of force to do a cycle as a stocker no. knowing they use newer bearings compared to the used stock bearings on the alternator all depends but it is a known fact stock is only 90 amps so three times the electricity will help the multiple revolutions of the spark plugs out in higher rpms.So with both are arguments out there if the bearings are better on the 270a is what determines the amount of force needed to turn it on the pulley is the question.
You also have to take into account the electrical load it and its efficiency. IIRC the more load the stronger the magnetic field making it harder to spin
