Actually........on the turbo I kinda did. I used ACL's on the mains and Clevites on the rods.
I generally use ACL's all over. BUT I change my rod bearings (on the race car) at least once a year (like as a maintenance item). IMO, you won't go wrong with ACL's or Clevite's. Haven't had a problem with either.
