I was speaking to another member about this resistor mod and he said it works great. The CEL stays off and the ECU will be emissions ready come inspection time. Im from NY, and I can tell you right now that the visual inspection they give at Pep Boys is half ass and they will never realize there is no EGR valve.

Apparantly though, after a "long time" the ECU will figure out that you are cheating the system and the CEL will be triggered. However, when you get to this point all you have to do is simply reset the ECU by unplugging the positive battery cable and then you will be CEL free again for quite some time.

I really hope this is all its cracked out to be..
