Didnt you say you were going to put in an aftermarket clutch of some kind? if so....its a LOT easier to do that with the engine sitting on the floor..as opposed to when its in the car, much easier re-attaching the tranny and getting evrything lined up with it out of the car. But thats just my opinion. Also, invest(if you already haven't) in a Haynes Manual for your car. Every question with regards to removing/installing and rebuilding the engine even is in there. great reference.
