#107388, "ok, time to start my 2.4 swap"

*sigh*, the time has come for me to start my 2.4 swap..

i have made a parts list: (if i miss anthing, please tell me)

-SRT-4 Timing Belt Tensioner- $6.35
-Underdrive pulley- ~ $74.60
-Late model Stratus alloy oil pan- On block
-Stratus 2g pump- on block
-95-02 Block- $100.00
-SRT-4 Enigine mount- $31.00
-1g Eclipse engine mount(drivers side)- $10.00
-SRT-4 waterpump- $77.00

Thats like around 300 in parts (note i already have injectors)

i pretty much think i have all the procedures down: (if i miss anything, please tell me)(my source is alain's write up)

-Remove Balancer Shafts, and patch the hole by tap threading and a bolt with red locktite
-Cut and weld oil pan
-Cut the DSM mount to keep the donut only, and use a piece of flat metal to weld a mount
-Turn the pistons 180 degrees, large slope should face the echaust side
-turn the cam sensor 90 degrees
-rewire injectors
-rewire coil pack, put 1 on 3 and 3 on 1

I think i have got all the information down packed, so next week im gonna go to the jusk yard and pull a block...

Oh, and the only thing i don't really know is if there was a difference in an 02 stratus block than a 95-99 block, cause i saw a 02 stratus at the junkyard and i would like to get that block since it's newer...but i dont know if i would run into any other problems....

if there's any suggestions that you could offer, it would be greatly appreiciated...thanks

pc
