If you get 20 MPG in the city, that is ok. The EPA rated the car at 21 MPG city and 31 MPG highway. I would get about 24 MPG in light city traffic. In heavy traffic, I would get 20 MPG. You don't get good mileage when you spend 20 minutes idling at every stop light.
